Introduction
This Privacy Notice informs the User about the processing of personal data carried out on our website and related online resources, such as the contact form, e-mail, and social media accounts (hereinafter the "Website").

The owners of the Website determine the purpose and means of processing personal data (the "Data Controller").
The Website is hosted and managed through Wix.com Ltd. ("Wix"). Wix provides the technical platform, hosting, analytics, and data storage on our behalf. Personal data collected through the Website may be stored on Wix servers in accordance with Wix’s Privacy Policy. Wix acts as a data processor and processes personal data only as instructed by the Data Controller
E-mail correspondence is managed either through Wix services or Google Gmail. Messages are only used to answer User requests and are not stored elsewhere.
B. Acknowledgement of Policy, Acceptance, Amendments
The relevant Privacy Notice is the one in force at the time of access to the Website. The latest version can be viewed by clicking the link at the bottom of each page. The User must check the status of the Privacy Notice before using the Website, as the Data Controller may update it at any time, particularly in accordance with changes in law, features, services, and products.
C. Processing of personal data and cookies
Legal framework
The processing of personal data is governed by the Act on Data Protection (LPDP) for public tasks, and by the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) for economic activities.
Grounds for justification
The processing of personal data is unlawful when it constitutes a breach of personality. A breach may be justified by the consent of the data subject, by an overriding public or private interest, or by the law.
The Data Controller relies on the following legal bases:
- Contact form and e-mails: processing is necessary to respond to requests (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures).
- Newsletter: processing is based on explicit consent, withdrawable at any time.
- Analytics: processing is based on legitimate interest in improving the Website, unless consent is required.
- Cookies: technical cookies are necessary for the Website. Analytics cookies are processed with User consent. Profiling or marketing cookies are only set with explicit consent.
Exclusions of liability
The Data Controller does not guarantee that data transmitted over the Internet cannot be intercepted by unauthorised third parties. Users remain responsible for safe handling of their data outside the Website.
Service providers
The Data Controller uses external providers, including Wix (hosting, analytics) and Google (mail, analytics), to ensure the Website works correctly. Providers only access data to the extent strictly necessary and must comply with data protection law.
Relationship with European law
Switzerland is not a Member State of the EU. GDPR applies to entities outside the EU only if they offer goods or services to EU residents or monitor their behaviour. The Data Controller does not target EU residents. Swiss law offers adequate protection of personal data.
If GDPR exceptionally applies, this document serves as a Privacy Notice under Articles 13 and 14 GDPR. Users may assert rights including access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability, and withdrawal of consent.

Navigating the Website
- Purpose: monitor and improve the performance and security of the Website.
- Data: technical information transmitted by the device (e.g. IP address, browser type, operating system), processed in aggregated and anonymised form through Wix Analytics and Google Analytics.
- Recipients: Wix.com Ltd. and Google LLC.
- Cross-border disclosure: data may be transferred to countries with adequate protection or subject to safeguards.
- Retention: aggregated statistics retained according to Wix and Google policies. IP addresses are anonymised and not stored in identifiable form.
- Hosting: Wix infrastructure and Google Analytics compliance frameworks.

- Purpose: send newsletters to Users who consent.
- Data: name, email.

- Hosting: managed via Wix and Google services
- Retention: until consent is withdrawn.

- Purpose: technical cookies ensure Website function; analytics cookies require consent.
- Management: through Website cookie banner or browser settings.
- Recipients: Wix and Google (analytics providers).
E. Rights of the data subjects
Depending on whether LPDP, FADP, or GDPR applies, Users have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to competent supervisory authorities. Requests must be made in writing to the Data Controller.
F. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
The relationship between the User and Urbansnitch is governed by Swiss substantive law, subject to cantonal law where applicable, excluding private international law.
Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court for the District of Lugano, subject to mandatory provisions. Urbansnitch may also refer disputes to the competent Court where the User’s domicile is located.
